Six primary school students ‘raped’ in Jashore

Parents and school students brought out a procession demanding immediate action for such crime near the school premises on Wednesday (May 1) morning.A 45-year-old man has been accused of raping six students of Maolana Shah Abdul Karim Kharki Primary School at Jashore city of the district.
According to guardians of the victims accused that Aminur Rahman, an inhabitant of the city raped six students studying different grades of the primary school.
Ferdousi Ara, head teacher of the school, confirmed about the accusations.

The protesters said Aminur had been luring the children with chocolate and fruit—to lower their guard—and then sexually abused them.
On Apr 28, five students failed to appear for a school examination. When Ferdousi asked them about their absence, they revealed what had occurred and proceeded to further investigate.
A probe committee was formed on the same day and found Aminur as guilty.
The school’s managing committee’s president, Shah Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, said the school has decided to press charges.
“A case is being filed over the incident,” said Kotwali Inspector Samir Kumar Sarkar before adding, “The police are on drive to arrest Aminur.”
