Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Rajshahi.
The arrests were made during a raid conducted early hours on Wednesday (May 1) in the district’s Godagari Upazila, said RAB.
The arrestees are Kamal Hossain and Saiful Islam.
Kamal was arrested from the upazila’s Ujanpara area and Saiful from Diyarmanik Chawk village.
RAB 5 Captain ATM Moinul Islam said, “They are active members of the banned JMB.”
"We have seized three jihadist books, a notebook, two leaflets, a cell phone, three SIM cards, and one memory card during the raid,” said Islam before adding, “Legal actions will be taken against the arrestees.”
