In a gunfight with police in Kushtia a murder accused person Anamul (30) was killed. This happened on Monday (August 21st) at around 4 am in a banana garden in the Harinarayanpur Beriibadh area of Sadar upazila.
Police rescued a foreign pistol, two round bullets, three cartridges and two sharp weapons from the spot. Three police constables were injured in the incident.
The deceased Enamul is the son of Mostafa Mia of Laksidpur area of Sadar upazila.
Kushtia Detective Branch (DB) of Police Office-in-Charge (OC) Sabbirul Islam said: “Sunday night a secret news came that a group of kidnappers with weapons is in the Horinarayanpur Beribadh area. Depending on this information, a group of police of Kushtia Detective Branch (DB) went there. Sensing the presence of police, the kidnappers opened fire to the police. In retaliation, police fired back and the kidnappers managed to escape the spot. Later police rescued Anamul injured by a bullet and when they took him to the Kushtia General Hospital, the doctor declared him dead.
The deceased Anamul is the main convict of the murder case of kidnapped college student Sagar Shaha, son of Prodip Shaha of Shibrampur area. On Wednesday evening, August 16, the college student Sagar Saha was abducted. After three days on August 19, the dead body of the abducted was found from an abandoned bathroom in Horinarayanpur area. On this incident Prodip Shaha, father of deceased Sagar Shaha filed a murder case against in the name of unknown people.
