Three people died in a road mishap after a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup in Tangail’s Kalihati Upazila on Wednesday.
The road crash occurred on the linking phase of Bangabandhu Bridge on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Saratail area around 7:30am, said Mosharraf Hossain, OC of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station.
The three were killed and one injured on the spot after a Dhaka bound stone-laden truck crashed into a pickup, which was heading for the northern region of the country, the police said.

The injured was taken to the Tangail state-run hospital.
The identities of the victims couldn’t be revealed immediately.
The normal movement was disrupted, but recovery teams resumed the road around 8:45am, The OC said.
