Four people were killed and fifteen others injured in a collision between a bus and a covered van in Sirajganj in the early hours of Saturday.
The accident took place on Bangabandhu bridge west highway at Saidabad rehabilitation fancy gate area of Sirajganj around 3am.
In this connection, Bangabandhu Bridge West Police OC Syed Shahid Alam said that the two vehicles overturned and skidded off the road when a Gaibandha-bound Shyamoli Paribahan bus hit the covered van while overtaking.
On information, members of police and fire service rushed to the scene, he added.
The deceased and injured were sent to district’s state-run hospital.
The identities of the victims have yet to be released.
