Nusrat laid to rest

Nusrat Jahan RafiNusrat Jahan Rafi who died of extensive burn injuries on Wednesday (Apr 10) has been laid to rest at the family graveyard in Feni.
She was buried beside her grandmother on Thursday (Apr 11) after the funeral prayers at the Saber Pilot High School.
Thousands of grievers including students, teachers, and members of children and human rights organizations, attending Nusrat`s namaz-e-janza at the Saber Pilot High School,in Feni`s Sonagazi upazila on Thursday (Apr 11). FOCUS BANGLAFeni-3 lawmaker Masud Uddin Chowdhury along with Upazila Chairman Jahir Uddin Mahmud Lifton was in attendance during the prayers.
Eighteen-year-old Nusrat was set aflame by burqa-clad assailants on Apr 6 when she went to sit for her Alim exams at Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Degree Madrasa.
They allegedly lured her to the roof, poured kerosene on her and set her on fire for refusing to lift sexual assault charges against the madrasa principal Siraj-ud-Daula.
She battled with over 80 percent burn injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital Burn Unit on Wednesday.
