200 gold bars found in Biman plane at Ctg airport

Shah Amanat International Airport.Customs at the Chattogram international airport have seized 200 gold bars from Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane on Monday (Apr 8).
The gold bars, weighing over 20 kg, were found inside a toilet of the aircraft which was used to operate Abu Dhabi to Dhaka flight via the port city, said Assistant Revenue Officer Piyush Kanti Biswas of the Customs Intelligence unit at the Shah Amanat International Airport.
“We received inputs on gold bars smuggled on flight BG-128. A search was conducted soon after the flight landed around 6am. Two people, including a cleaning staff, have been detained for questioning,” he said.
