A Russian national has died reportedly of alcohol poisoning in Rajshahi.
Belyy Dmitry, engineer at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, died of poisoning around 10:30pm on Saturday (Apr 6).
Two others-- Lev Logachev and Misha-- have been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital because of alcohol poisoning.
They were first taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex in Pabna, then to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where the duty doctors declared Dmitry dead on arrival.
"Dmitry died of alcohol poisoning. He was dead even before arriving in the hospital,” Nafis Rahman, a doctor at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
“The other two are being treated at the hospital. Of them, one is in a better condition," Rahman added.
“The four Russian engineers had consumed excessive alcohol on Friday. They fell sick the next day (Saturday),” Rajpara police OC Hafizur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
