Internet star Hero Alom has been accused of assaulting his wife and beaten up by her family in turn.
A domestic dispute spiralled into a brawl, with Alom injuring his wife which required her to be hospitalized. His wife’s family also beat him up.
Both parties have reported to the local police against each other.
Bogura Sadar police OC Badiuzzaman said that Alom filed a complaint against his in-laws on Wednesday while his father-in-law Saiful Islam filed another complaint against him later in the day.
Both parties have been called to the police station to discuss the matter, he added.
Ashraful Alom popularly known as Hero Alom, who had nearly 399,262 followers on his Facebook page on Wednesday (Mar 6), came to fame with amateur music videos that fired up social media.
He tried his hand at politics during the last national polls and sought the HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party’s ticket but was snubbed.
Alom’s father-in-law claimed that he assaulted his wife over and denied allegations of attacking his son-in-law.
Meanwhile, Alom alleges that five people, including his wife and father-in-law attacked him with staves.
Alom, in his complaint, says that following a domestic dispute with his wife, five people including his wife and father-in-law attacked him with staves around 8pm Tuesday.
