Education Minister Dipu Moni has urged everyone above 18 years to fulfil their civic duties by exercising their voting rights.
Her remarks came on Friday (Mar 1) while taking part in a rally on the occasion of National Voters' Day.
“We have marked this day as National Voters Day with the intention that the citizens will exercise their voting rights,” she said.
“It’s not just their civic right but their duty,” she added.
“We have to fulfil this duty to take forward our democratic rights,” the minister said and added that the involvement of every citizen was imperative to continue the development spree initiated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
