A couple was found dead in their home at Savar four days after their marriage.
The bodies of 19-year-old Mohammad Ali and his wife Rumi Akter, 18, were recovered by police on Monday (Feb 25).
Neighbours reported to police after finding the bodies hanging from the ceiling, said Sub-Inspector Akhil Shaha of Savar police station.
The couple hailed from the northern district of Sirajganj, he said quoting locals.
“Rumi, who worked at a garment factory, married Mohammad Ali four days ago,” said the police officer before adding the bodies have been sent to Shurawardy Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
