Measures to confiscate the assets of war criminals started last year.

“Now we are doing to finalise it,” Anisul Huq said while responding to queries of the media at Brahmanbaria on Thursday (Jan 17).

Responding to another question, he said, “BNP still has time to go to parliament. BNP should rethink the issue since there is much time to decide to go to the Parliament.”

Protesters, some of whom participated in the 1971 war of independence, rally outside the Supreme Court in Dhaka during the court`s verdict on appeals by two opposition leaders November 18, 2015. REUTERSBNP will face the consequences of rejecting parliament, he observed.

The minister denied commenting over the recently published report of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
