Two people have been killed and 20 others injured in a road accident on Noakhali-Feni regional highway.
The incident was reported from Boropole area in Noakhali's Begumganj Upazila around 10pm on Wednesday (Jan 16), Begumganj police OC Firoze Alam Molla told Bangla Tribune.

Witnesses say that a Feni-bound Shugandha Service operated bus coming from Sonapur plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering killing two of its passengers on the spot and injuring 20 others.

Details of the victims were not available.

Being informed, Begumganj police, Chowmuhani Highway police and Chowmuhani Fire Service members rushed to the spot and recovered the victims and sent them to the local hospitals.

“Two bodies were recovered from the spot,” said OC Molla, before adding, “Some of the injured are in critical condition.”
