Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary said that the 11th National Parliamentary Election has ended without any major violence, vandalism or loss of lives.
Saying that the polls was a big challenge for the police, he added, “The police has succeeded in tackling the challenge.”
The head of police made the comments at a soiree on Wednesday (Jan 2) arranged at the Narayanganj police lines.
Declaring a zero tolerance against drugs, radicalism and terrorism, he said, “We must uproot drugs and save the new generation.”
The police successfully dealt with arson, sedition, extremism and anti-liberation forces, he asserted.
