AL’s winning candidate from Narail-2, national cricket team’s one day captain, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, has said, “I am happy to have won; getting affection from all sections.”
Calling the victory as his greatest attainment so far, he said, “In sport, I always try to attain victory by honest hard work and that is the spirit I want to apply in politics.”
Emphasising that he does not believe in any grouping, the widely respected and loved cricketer turned politician said, “I want to take agro based Narail forward; preference will be given to the development of the youth, prevention of river erosion and tackling the menace of addiction.”
Mashrafe also said that he will take steps to establish a university, medical college and an international standard stadium in Narail.
“However, until the World Cup, the main focus will be cricket.”
