Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said there is a wave of public sentiment in the country on behalf of the boat; riding on this groundswell of support there will be another landmark victory this December.
Defeating sectarian forces, AL will win with a two-third majority, he enthused.
The senior AL politician made the comments on Thursday at a rally held at Companyganj High School in Noakhali.
The Prime Minister is among the four most industrious premiers of the world, he said and added: “President Obama has said that if you want to see a model for development then go to Bangladesh and see Sheikh Hasina.”
During the last election we promised power and roads in this area and provided them, he said.
“If we are elected this time then we will give gas connections and as per the manifesto, provide a job for one member of each family.”
Quader asked the workers to be vigilant about the possible conspiracy by Jatiya Oikya Front to foil the polls.
“For free, fair and neutral elections, please assist the law enforcing agencies.”
