As many as 560 polling centres of the 926 centres in the northern district of Bagura have been identified as risky.
Rest of the 366 polling centres have been as ‘normal’, district intelligence sources said.
District Special Branch SP of Bagura Abdul Jalil told Bangla Tribune additional forces have been prepared to maintaining law and order situations from Dec 29 to Dec 31.Over 2,000 police personnel and 11,000 Ansar members will remain deployed at 926 centres across the district, according to the intelligence sources.
Meanwhile, 700 army members and 16 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh have been posted on polls duty across the district’s seven constituencies.
