Over 100 leaders and activists of BNP have joined ruling Awami League in Narail’s Sadar Upazila.
Led by BNP’s Gobra Bazar unit secretary Sultan Mollah, they joined the AL on Friday (Dec 21) night handing over garland to AL Sadar Upazila unit secretary Omar Faruk.
“We have joined AL after being inspired by the party’s ideology,’ Mollah said in an immediate reaction to leaving BNP.
Later they brought out a joy procession, followed by a rally where they vowed to work for the victory to local constituency’s AL candidate Kabirul Haque.
