Ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaildul Quader has termed their opposition party BNP’s polls manifesto as ‘joke of the year’.
“Their (BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front) pledges are entirely unrealistic,” he told the media at a programme in Cumllia’s Chauddagram Upazila on Tuesday (Dec 18).
“Oikya Front pledging to carry on with the war crimes trials, is joke of the year! It’s completely hypocritical!” he added.
The road transport and bridges minister, claimed that if BNP comes to power thy will not be able to implement their pledges.
It’s not easy to reclaim lost power but we wholeheartedly hope Oikya Front will not pull out of the election race.”
Earlier in the day, AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the party’s manifesto pledging to “march toward prosperity,” if they take office for another term.
After that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir floated the party’s polls manifesto pledging to raise the country’s GDP growth to 11 percent and to scrap the ‘black laws’ including Digital Security Act, Official Secrecy Act amongst many others.
