Three people have been killed and another eight injured when a loaded pickup truck overturned in Gopalganj.
The incident was reported on Monday (May 7) on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway near the district town, said police.
Inspector Golam Faruq of the local police said that the truck, loaded with paddy sacks, veered off the road as soon as it reached Pathalia and fell into a ditch.
“Two of the workers, who were on the truck, died on the spot,” he said.
Police and the fire service took at least nine people to the state-run hospital in town, where another died, said the police officer
“Eight others are being treated at the Gopalganj General Hospital,” said Inspector Faruq.
