As many as four people were killed and another injured when a covered van ran over them in Mymensingh.
The incident was reported the district town’s Shikarikanda area around 6.45am on Thursday (Dec 13), said Kotwali police OC Mahmudul Islam.
“Three of the deceased have been identified as Zakir Hossain, Abdul Khalek and Shaheed,” he added.
The identity of other victims could not be known immediately.
Witnesses say that a covered van ran over the victims from behind leaving two of them dead on the spot. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
