Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker’s nomination for Kurigram-4 constituency has been revoked.
Kurigram district Returning officer Sultana Parvin rescinded his nomination on Sunday (Dec 2).

“A candidate must have 1% supporter to contest the polls. As an independent candidate, Imran H Sarker has lack of information in this context and therefore the nomination has been revoked,” Assistant Returning officer Md Mehedi Hasan told Bangla Tribune.
Terming the step of the district returning officer unreasonable, Imran said over the phone that the nominations of mine and other independent candidates have been revoked to complicate the electoral process.”
“There may be errors in my supporter’s list which is modifiable,” he added.
Responding to another a question, Sarkar said, “I will appeal against the authorities concerned over the matter”.
He also said poverty was on the rise in Kurigram-4, which consists of Roumari, Char Rajibpur and Chilmari Upazilas, as no new jobs have been created there.
