A man has been killed in what the Rapid Action Battallion has described as a ‘shootout’ in Narayanganj’s Shahidnagar area.
The incident was reported during early hours on Sunday (Nov 12).
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Hasan, who is named in as many as 20 cases and he was also a drug-peddler, said RAB-11 officials before adding he had arrest warrants against him in all the cases.
RAB seized four rounds of firearms, 2500 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from the scene where they raided on a tip-off. Two officers of the elite force were also injured in the shootout, added RAB-11.
