Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Natore Golamur Rahman has been made an officer on special duty (OSD) on an allegation of 'sexually harassing a female colleague'.
The development came after an Election Commission issued an instruction to discharge the DC from his duty.
Earlier, a female colleague filed a written complaint, in which she said Golamur Rahman harassed her sexually.
Following the complaint, the public administration ministry issued a notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Anisur Rahman, on Monday (Nov 26) in this regard.
Deputy Secretary of the Power Division Mohammad Shah Reaz replaced Golamur as the DC, said another notification signed by Deputy Secretary Dewan Muhibubur Rahman.
