There will be no more quotas for admission at Rajshahi University from next year, said RU Vice Chancellor Abdus Sobhan.
“The government has abolished quotas in the job sector. If that remains, then there will be no more quotas in the admission sector,” he told the media on Monday (Oct 22).
“We will consider retaining the ward, disabled and sports quota,” he added.
Sobhan said that there were some rumors about leaked question papers but the University authorities remained vigilant and the exams took place without any disruptions.
The entrance exam of Rajshahi University (RU) for 2018-19 academic session took began earlier on Monday morning.
As many as 88,543 students will be appearing in the entry test under five units and the results are expected to be published by Nov 15.
