Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Thakurgaon

ThakurgaonA Bangladeshi national has been shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members in Thakurgaon. 

The incident was reported from Baliadangi upazila’s Kantibhita border around 4am on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Md Rabbani, 25 who hailed from Horinmari village.

According to locals, Hatkhola camp BSF members opened fire at a group of 7 or 8 cattle traders when they crossed into India. Rabbani, one of the traders, died after being shot while others managed to escape.

Thakurgaon BGB 50 Battalion Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Tuhin Md Masud said that he heard the matter in their intelligence channel and a letter has been sent to BSF inviting them to a flag meeting to discuss the incident.
