They paint dustbins to encourage people to dump the waste in the bin.
“I was brought up in the city and it used to be very clean. Now-a-days it has become dirty and that’s why I along with my wife Zanvi launched this cultural movement to encourage people to clean the city,” said Junaid Mustafa, who is an ad-maker.
A couple armed with paint and brush have waged a movement to clean Cumilla city.The couple draws the pictures of flying horse and other things on dustbins in Chotra locality in Cumilla city to increase awareness among people.
Son of a journalist, Junaid said, “My father Golam Mustafa Chowdhury always tried to help people and I am walking on the path that he had shown.”
People are making the city dirty by throwing wastes here and there and I want to make the dustbins aesthetic so that they are encouraged to use it properly, said Junaid who was a student of Fine Arts in Dhaka University.
“I am using bright colours so that the new generations become attracted and play a role in cleaning the city,” he said.

Nazmul Hasan said, “It is an exceptional initiative.”
Mayor Sakku said, “This is a commendable effort and we trying to help him within our capacity.”
