Member of Border Guard Bangladesh has detained two men along with US currencies worth $89,800 (Tk 7,524,000 approximately) in Benapole.
Obaidur Rahman, 27, and Mausd, 30, who hail from Khasial village of Norail’s naragati Upazila, were detained from Amrakhali check post on Thursday (Sept 6).
BGB Amrakhali camp Commander Mizanur Rahman told Bangla Tribune, “Tipped-of, BGB members intercepted a Jashor-bound local bus and nabbed the duo with the US currencies.”
The detainee were handed over to the Benapole port police after failing a case, said BGB Battalion-49 Commander Lt Col Ariful Haque.
