Road crashes killed 3, injured 37 in Bagura

Bogura road crashThree people have been killed and 37 others injured in two separate road crashes in Bogura.
The deceased have been identified as Mithu, 28 and Zahidul Islam Taj, 35 and Sazzad Hossain, 22.
The first incident was reported from district’s Sherpur upazila around 12pm of Saturday, said local fire service.
“A Dhaka bound Ena paribahan operated bus collided head-on with Bogura bound Chandni Classic Paribahan operated bus on Dhaka-Bogura highway leaving 32 people injured,” said local fire service officer Ratan Hossain.
“The victims were recovered from the spot and sent to a hospital where the driver of the Bogura bound bus Mithu and a Ena paribahan passenger Sazzad Hossain died,” added Ratan.
Another accident was reported from upazila’s Dhunot intersection area around 1.30am of Sunday, said the local fire service.
“A SR Travels operated bus hits a covered van from behind in which eight people injured. Injured were admitted in a hospital where the bus supervisor Zahidul Islam Taj died,” said the fire service official.
