`JMB militants` held in Rajshahi and C`nawabganjThe Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained five suspected activists of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj.
The arrests were made during two separate raids at Rajshahi’s Godagari upazila and Chapainawabganj’s Kodalkati village on Friday (Aug 31), said RAB.
Firearms, bullets, magazines, extremist literatures, leaflets and huge amount of bomb-making materials were seized during the raids.RAB-5 deputy captain Major Ashraful Islam said, “Acting on a tip-off, RAB conducted the raids from Thursday night to Friday morning and held five active JMB members including a top leader Aminul.”
“Firearms, bullets, magazines, extremist literatures, leaflets and huge amount of bomb-making materials were seized during the raids,” the elite force official added.
