A cng-run auto rickshaw lost control at the Cumilla-Brahmanpara road leaving a father and son dead during early hours of Tuesday.
The victims were identified as Aminul Islam, 38, and his 4-year-old son Wasi Islam Nabil. Aminul’s wife Yasmin, 32 and daughter Afsana, 12 were injured in the incident.
Cumilla Kotowali Police OC Abu Salam Mia said, “The family was going to Cumilla City from the district’s Brahmanpara area. The auto rickshaw lost control and hit a roadside tree injuring all four passengers. Aminul and his son were pronounced dead when taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.”
“The driver managed to flee while, police seized the auto rickshaw,” he added.
