A case has been filed against seven people including the owners and drivers of the vehicles involved in a Saturday’s road crash in Natore which left 15 people dead.
Local Lalpur police filed the case late on Saturday, but police declined to reveal identities of the suspects for ‘the sake of investigation’.
OC Nazrul Islam of Lalpur police said that bodies of the 14 victims have been handed over to their families while the fifteenth victim us yet to be identified.
“The body has been sent to the Natore hospital for autopsy,” he said before adding that the Banpara Highway Police OC Shamsun Noor has been assigned as the investigating officer.
Fifteen people were killed and at least 20 others were injured as a bus collided head-on with a human haulier on the highway to Pabna.
Police said all the dead were passengers of the human hauler, locally known as Leguna.
