Three people were killed on the spot when a bus went off track and fell in a roadside pit, injuring 35 others.
The incident was reported on 11am, Tuesday from Chagalchira of Gopalganj district’s Muksudpur Upazila.
20 among the injured were admitted to Madaripur’s Rajoir Hospital while others were treated in nearby medical facilities, said Bhanga Highway Police OC Mahfuzur Rahman.
“Death toll may rise,” he added.
One among the killed was identified as Rojina Begum, 25, a resident of Borni village of the Upazila.
