Mashrafe Mortaza hails Bangladesh spirit but admits batsman fell short.BCB was planning to host a lone ODI against Zimbabwe either between the Test and tri-nation series or following the two series to give skipper Mahrafe Bin Mortaza a befitting farewell, but nothing has decided yet.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan told the media that they have given Mashrafe a two-month period to make a decision on the matter after the skipper had asked for it on Saturday (Aug 17).

“We talked to Mahrafe about the matter and he has asked us to give him two months to make a decision on the matter. The board has allowed him the time to decide,” said Nazmul.

The captain had a frank discussion at Mirpur, added the board president on a media call while announcing the new head coach for Tigers' Russel Domingo.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan reiterated his eagerness to give the beloved cricketer a proper send-off.
