BNP has submitted its annual financial statement to the Election Commission (EC) for the 2017 calendar year, showing Tk 41.97 million in its reserve.
A BNP delegation led by its Joint Secretary General MA Mahbub Uddin Khokon submitted the financial report to EC office in the city’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday.
According to the report, BNP earned Tk 96.62 million and spent Tk 52.65 million during the period.
Last year, the party showed a reserve of Tk 140.49 million for the 2016 calendar year with earning Tk 41.39 million and spending Tk 39.96 million.
Earlier, political parties including that of ruling Awami League, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) also submitted the audited report for the 2017 calendar year to the EC.
According to the Representation of the People Order, political parties registered with the EC is obliged to submit its financial statement of the previous calendar year by each July 31.
