The ruling Awami League has condemned the attack on Amar Desh acting Editor Mahmudur Rahman.
Describing the incident in the Kushtia court premises as ‘unexpected and uncalled for’, General Secretary Obiadul Quader said the perpetrators will be brought to justice. “There may be differences of opinion, but this type of attack is unacceptable.”
His remarks came on Monday while speaking to the media after an event.
On Sunday, Mahmudur Rahman was attacked at the Kushtia court premises as he was leaving after securing bail in a libel suit.
