The controversial leader has received his letter of appointment from General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday (Oct 28).
On Oct 2, Prime Minister and party chief Sheikh Hasina made the appointed Hazari, who serves as the general secretary of the party’s Feni district unit, as an advisor
Joynal Abedin Hazari, Feni district Awami League unit's general secretary, has been appointed as a member of the ruling party's advisory council.
Hazari is known for his control of politics in Feni for over two decades, from 1984 to 2004.
He became involved in politics in the late 60s as a student at Feni College.
Since 1984, Haszari served as the Feni unit's general secretary until 2004, when he was suspended from the party. Since then, he has been inactive in politics.
