Jatiya Party’s Rahgir Al Mahir (Saad Ershad), the son of late party founder HM Ershad, has been sworn in as the lawmaker for Rangpur-3.
Speaker Shrin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath at her parliament offices on Wednesday (Oct 10) in the presence of Saad’s mother and Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad.
Contesting with the 'plough' symbol, Saad bagged 58,878 votes in the by-polls on Oct 5. The Election Commission published the gazette of the result on Oct 9.
