Jatiya Party Chairman and Leader of Opposition HM Ershad’s health is on the mend, said the party’s acting chief GM Quader.
“Doctors said that his condition has improved 25 percent in the last 24 hours,” he told the media on Thursday (Jun 27).
“He, however, isn’t completely out of danger,” he added and said that it will be a while before he recovers completely.
The former military dictator was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Wednesday morning as he has been suffering from various ailments for the last nine months.
He also went to Singapore a few months back for medical reasons.
Much to the dismay of his wife Raushan Ershad’s supporters, he reinstated GM Quader as the party’s acting chairman on April 6 and a day later donated his assets to a trust.
