BNP has endorsed corruption as its policy: PM Hasina

“They have included corruption in the party’s charter. Their policy is officially endorsing it (corruption),” she said on Saturday.
Her remarks came while addressing a special extended meeting of the Awami League, attended by leaders from units across the country, at her official residence the Ganabhaban.
Referring to Tarqiue Rahman’s appointment as the acting party chief, Hasina said, “The BNP’s charter stipulated that an individual convicted corruption can not lead the party, but they had amended it. And, technically adopted graft as its policy.”
Blaming the BNP regimes of massive corruption, the Awami League president said her administration aims at measures beneficiary to the people.
“We have tried to reach the benefit of development to the people, and now Bangladesh is a role model for development.”
Grassroots leaders and activists of the party will be held liable if the people do not cast their votes in favour of the party in the upcoming national election.
"We've implemented so many development programmes .... It won't be acceptable if people don't cast votes for Boat (AL’s polls symbol)," she said.
