Ailing Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Sunday donated all of his assets to a trust, a day after installing brother GM Quader as his successor in the party.
Ershad “has donated his all movable and immovable assets to a trust,” JP Presidium member SM Faisal Chisti told Bangla Tribune on Sunday.
A five-member board of trustees has been formed.
The trustee board members include HM Ershad, his son Eric Ershad, personal secretary Khaled Akhtar, cousin Mukul and his personal aide Mohammad Jahangir, said Chisti.
The former military ruler, however, neither keept his wife Raushon or brother Quader in the trustee board.
