Awami League leader and former health minister Mohammad Nasim speaking at discussion meeting at National Press Club on Thursday (Mar 14).There is no point arguing about the Dhaka University Central Students Union polls and there’s no point in protesting either, said Awami League leader and former health minister Mohammad Nasim.
“The time for movements in Bangladesh is long gone,” he said on Thursday (Mar 14) during a discussion meeting at National Press Club.
“Instead of making theatrics out of the oath-taking ceremony, let the students take their preparations. Bring back the tradition of Dhaka University,” he added.
Saying that Dhaka University doesn’t have any ranking in the best universities of the world, he added, “It’s a matter of shame for us, the students and the teachers.”
Addressing the BNP, Nasim said that they couldn’t wage a movement and abandoned the field midway.
“Wage your movements in the Parliament, take oath and speak against us. Make a noise there. There isn’t any point holding media calls and protests in front of the press club.”
