The student wing of the ruling Awami League has announced its panel of candidates for the Dhaka University Central Student's Union (DUCSU) polls, slated for Mar 11.

Top two leaders of Chhatra League central committee Rezwanul Haque Shovon and Golam Rabbani have been nominated as the vice president (VP) and general secretary (GS) candidates for the much-awaited election.  

Chhatra League’s Dhaka University (DU) wing President Sanjit Chandra Das announced the names of the candidates before the media at the campus on Sunday (Feb 24).

The other candidates are, DU Chhatra league General Secretary Saddam Hossain for the Assistant General Secretary post and Independence War Affairs Secretary Saad Bin Kader, Science and Technology Secretary Arif Ibne Ali, Commonroom and Cafeteria Secretary Lipi Akter, International Affairs Secretary Shahrina Tanzina Orni, Literature Secretary Majhharul Kabir Shoyon, Cultural Affairs Secretary Shams-E-Noman, Sports Secretary Shakil Ahmed Tanvir, Student Transport Affairs Secretary Rakib Hawlader and Social Service Secretary Azizul Haque Sarkar.

The much-awaited DUCSU polls, which have not taken place in the last 29 years, are scheduled to take place on Mar 11.
