Opposition leader and Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad has returned home from Singapore after treatment.
Ershad reached the city’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a flight of Singapore Airlines at around 10am on Monday (Feb 4), his Deputy Press Secretary Khandakar Delwar Jalali told Bangla Tribune.
Jatiya Party Senior Cochairman Raushon Ershad, Cochairman GM Quader and Ershad’s two sons received him at the airport.
Senior party leaders Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Barrister Aminul Islam Mahmud, ABM Ruhul Amin Hawladar, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and Mujibul Hoque Chunnu were, among others, present.
On Jan 20 last, the former military dictator went to Singapore for treatment as he was suffering from various health complications, including liver and knee problems.
