‘Dec 30 was all about vote snatching’

Islami Andolan protesting the violence against Muslims in China and PalestineBlatant vote snatching took place during the Dec 30 polls, said Islami Andolan Bangladesh Presidium member Mosaddek Billah Al Madani.
His remarks came during an Islami Andolon program on Friday (Jan 18), while protesting the persecution of Muslims in Palestine and China.
Taking about Awami League’s grand rally on Saturday (Jan 19), he said, “They will be celebrating vote snatching. There will no longer be any victory celebrations in the country.”
Demanding re-election under an impartial government, Madani said that in the future they will no longer go for polls under a partisan government.
“No autocratic regime was everlasting and it will not last in Bangladesh either,” he said.
Regarding the plight of the Uyghur Muslims, he said, “Almost 200,000 Muslim men, women and children are being tortured in detention facilities.”
He added that Muslims were being forced to adopt Communism and that international community must take steps to put a stop to this persecution that amounts to crimes against humanity.
He called for the United Nations to send probe teams to China and make the country accountable for it.
