The Jatiya Party as the opposition aims to turn the parliament into a functional one, said the party’s Co-Chairman GM Quader.
No other political party other than JP is equipped to take on the role of opposition, he told the media on Wednesday (Jan 16).
“Hence JP will not be a part of the Cabinet,” he added.
He said that there was no rift in the party and that everything was running according to Chairman HM Ershad’s directives.
Responding to queries about reserved seats for women, he said that Ershad himself will finalize the four candidates.
