Nomination deprived leaders will be evaluated: Hasina

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. File PhotoAwami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina pledged to give adequate value to party leaders who were deprived of nomination.
She has asked everyone to unite and be engaged in the party’s development programme.
The PM made the comment on Saturday (Jan 12) at the party’s central office. Sheikh Hasina was given a rousing reception from the party for winning the 11th Parliamentary Elections.
Addressing leaders, she said, “There’s no reason for despondence; but those who were deprived of nomination but gave their wholehearted effort to the victory of the party will be evaluated justly.”
Since we have won by a huge margin, we need to take up the challenge to fulfill the wishes of the people, said the PM.
Saying that the development of the last ten years has to be maintained, she said, “New projects have to be undertaken and the country has to be taken to the pinnacle of development.”
At the meet, decision was taken to hold a victory rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan, followed by language day on Feb 21, historic Mar 7 speech day, the birthday of Bangabandhu on Mar 17 and Independence Day on Mar 26.
