BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that a conspiracy is afoot to carry out attacks on minority communities in the country.
He said, “We have proof; there was a meeting between police and a few minority leaders, where a plan was hatched to carry out attacks on indigenous people.”
They will carry out a large scale subversive act and put the blame on BNP, he added.
Rizvi made the comments on Thursday (Dec 13), at a media briefing held in Noya Paltan.
Alluding to PM’s adviser HT Imam, Rizvi said, “He (HT Imam) called the media offices and instructed them to not print news about attacks on BNP supporters.”
The AL will resort to all sorts of vile strategies to put the BNP in a tough spot, he alleged.
“However, the people will support us and we will stand vindicated in the end.”
He further alleged that AL hoodlums with weapons were carrying out showdowns all over the country with overzealous police officers arresting people by false cases.
“My earnest request to the police is to come and stay by the people and play a part to end a reign of tyranny.”
