A delegation of the ruling Awami League (AL) has gone to the Election Commission (EC) for talks a day before the chief election commissioner (CEC) will announce the schedule for the general election.
AL Advisory Council member and Election Coordination Committee Co-Chairman HT Imam is leading the party’s 16-strong team to the dialogue with CEC KM Nurul Huda and four other commissioners on Wednesday.
EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed is also attending the talks.
The AL delegation includes, Presidium member Faruk Khan, Advisory Council members Masiur Rahman and Rashidul Alam, Organising Secretary Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, Deputy Office Secretary Biplob Barua, Forest and Environment Secretary Delwar Hossain and Central Working Committee members SM Kamal Hossan, Riazul Kabir Kawser, Golam Rabbani Chinu, Tanvir Imam and Fazilatunnesa Bappi.
