The BNP leader said they believe in resolving issues through talks. “But if the government does not want that then it will be liable for the consequences.”
He said that they proposed for further discussions on a limited scale and the government said the dialogue may continue, but it has nothing to do with the announcement of polls schedule.
“We’ll go to people. We’ll place our demands through people,” said the senior BNP leader.
Asked whether the talks were fruitful, Mirza Fakhrul said, “That can be said only after the talks end and it’s still continuing.”
He said that the Jatiya Oikya Front will continue with its road march to Rajshahi on Thursday and hold a rally in the northern city the next day.

We have announced a road march to press for our seven-point demands yesterday. If the schedule is announced tomorrow then we will march towards the Election Commission.”
